The changing global situation requires that our defense be strengthened, and the increased intelligence activities against Sweden and the Armed Forces are extensive. The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts defense intelligence operations, military intelligence, and military security services. Must prevents, detects, and counters security threats directed against the Armed Forces and its interests in Sweden and abroad. Must is part of the Armed Forces and is directed by both the government and the Chief of Defence.

Main Responsibilities
The role involves working with all parts of the security clearance process within the area of personnel security. This includes planning, execution, and documentation during security clearance. A large part of the work consists of conducting conversations such as security clearance interviews, protection talks, and follow-up conversations. It also includes supporting the administrative work and other security protection routines established by the section. There is also the opportunity to work with the exposure of Must's security-sensitive activities and our security protection agreements. In the long term, we see you actively working to develop our methods and processes.
Qualifications
- Experience conducting security clearance interviews or other semi-structured interviews or conversations
- Post-secondary education in the security field or other relevant education or experience for the position
- Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
Meritorious
- Previous experience of similar tasks or merits that the employer assesses as relevant
- Training in interrogation techniques, conversation or interview techniques, behavioral science, or intelligence services
- Experience in operational security work, preferably within a defense-related or law enforcement agency
- Experience serving in Must or other parts of the Armed Forces
- Education in intelligence or security services, preferably in person-based collection
- Experience handling asylum and citizenship cases
Personal Qualities
To thrive in the role, you need to have a good ability to create confidential relationships, enjoy personal meetings, and be curious and attentive in conversations. The role also requires the ability to handle and analyze different types of information in a structured manner. You thrive in a developing environment and appreciate the variety of working both independently and in collaboration with others.
You will be part of a team working with Must security clearance. Since the work is characterized by tasks with high confidentiality, it also places demands on your personal integrity. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

The qualifications mentioned above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.
Employment form: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period

Employment with us means placement in a security class. Usually, Swedish citizenship is required. Security clearance with background checks will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment also includes an obligation to be placed in a war situation. The implications of this vary depending on the type of position.
